I recently saw the movie “The Black Swan” with one of my all time favorite actress, Natalie Portman. I was impressed with the dark and disturbing storyline and the surprise ending. The image of Natalie Portman as the obsessed ballerina lingered in my mind for several days. I recently had an opportunity to photograph a young ballerina. I couldn’t help but make one portrait that was inspired by the movie. Of course, this dancer did not have the crazed looked of the Black Swan.

Amazing things you can do with flash photography.
I saw these dolls hanging on a small gift shop window in Rockport today. Their big eyes glaring at the people passing by, trying to out do each other by looking cute and desperate reminded me of puppies at a pet store. Kinda sad really.
